Teacher Information

Academics

• I have entered and submitted all grades and comments for DOA approval.
• I have saved items to the Shared Google Drive.
• I have sent families summer suggestions.
• I have emailed parents (CC the DOO) of any students who did not return curriculum or library books, asking them to let the DOO know if they would like to return the materials or purchase them.

Classroom Tasks

Check off each task as you complete it. Progress saves automatically.

• Remove items from wall, if you will not have them there at the start of the year. If contact hooks were used, be sure to carefully pull straight down, not away from the wall, to prevent any wall damage. If anything has been adhered to the glass, please do not remove as there is a special film.
• Clean learning wall with Panda board spray — no other cleaners.
• Check all books for a CCA sticker and library bar code. If missing, set on metal cart located by upstairs library. Include a sticky note of the grade they are used for.
• Organize remaining materials in closet.
• Clean desks — free of all residue and ink.
• Clean lockers — free of all residue and ink.
• Stack chairs on desks.
• Wipe all other surfaces.
• Gently clean walls if there is visible dirt — do not use force.
• Unplug radio charger — return to front desk if not returning, leave in room if staying.
• If needed, clean windows with Windex only — no other cleaners due to their special film.
• Label all keys & remotes with room number.
• If you have a personal refrigerator, unplug and ensure any melting ice in freezer is discarded so it doesn't leak on the floor.
• Move all curriculum (including novel units) to your grade band storage, clearly marking which items need to be removed from the system. (Do not throw away anything — Ava will discard.)
• Submit curriculum order on the CCA Curriculum Order Form to ensure 20 each, so we are prepared for a full class should enrollment necessitate.
• Return all furniture so there are no more than 20 desks per classroom.
• Mark any wall touch-ups with painter's tape, and place a piece of tape on the exterior door frame to signal painters.
• Mark all carpet cleaning areas with painter's tape. (All area rugs will be cleaned.)

Building Stewardship Team Zones

• Deep clean all areas
• Organize and tidy up
• Wipe down all surfaces
• Empty and clean cabinets
• Clear refrigerators and freezers
• Discard broken or perishable items
• Label where helpful
• Report any damage (walls, carpet, etc.)

*Restrooms listed are simply to check that equipment is operational and to look for any damage. Check that toilets flush, sinks and soap dispensers work, and doors and locks function properly.

Building Maintenance Form

Use the Building Maintenance Form to report anything you notice that needs attention — in your classroom, common areas, or your Building Stewardship zone. Include details and photos when possible.
